Other Museums, Amsterdam

HEINEKEN MUSEUM. I don't know if it is a tourist trap because some people enjoyed it but i personnaly think it was really dull. It's a huge building but there is nothing worth seeing inside. There is a really stupid show where you can experience the life of an heinenken bottle!!! Unless you are a big Heineken fan, do avoid at all cost!

PS: some people wrote to me telling me the admission fees are now less than they used to be.

The Erotic Museum in the red light district. I thought it was quite boring and tacky - apart from a few original drawings by John Lennon nothing you HAVE TO see.

Unique Suggestions: Take a pic of yourself in a window of the red light district! haha

Fun Alternatives: Go window shopping in the RLD ;)

The only thing I didn't like was Stedelijk Museum. You can find some of the worst painting of Van Gogh and Monet. I don't like modern arts, and here you can see a 'paint' of an unique colours (it seems when you go to choose the colour of you sofa and the seller shows you the tissues :-) There is only a beautiful paint, but I suppose you have murales too where you live, isn't it? Anyway, the 'painting' in this museum are all as follows (PAINTING OR MISTAKES?????):

Don't waste your time and your money there. The best thing I got there was the indicationa about how to get red district.

Sorry, but is true

I havent actually visited it but i heard many bad comments about it. I passed it by and indeed it seems rather tacky and dull, you have lots of pcitures of condoms and naked women, lots of boring stuff to read about sex...but well, what else would expect in a sex MUSEUM? a LIVE SHOW??? i dont think so !!

I've heard that Madame Tussaud's of Amsterdam is nowhere near as good as the London version (a tourist trap anyway!) and is best avoided. Which we did apart from this photo...

The hash marihuana hemp museum. It didn't cost much to get in but it was not very interesting and the museum itself is so tiny.

Besides RLD, this Van Gogh Museum is another place where I was seriously Trapped, entry at 15 guilders for adult, although I tried hard to act like a small kid but fail, anyway it's a big trap...lol

Both Madame Tusseaud's and Anne Frank's House are very overrated...

Also the canalboats are no fun. It is a lot more fun to rent your own boat (from the Kloveniersburgwal for example).
