When arriving in Amsterdam one has a couple of choices to getting into the city. One a very expensive taxi.....2. the KLM bus...which takes you directly to the steps of your hotel. or 3 the cheap way and take the train into Central Station where you can connect to a tram and then onto your hotel....but when you get to your hotel you'll have something missing as expert pickpockets just prey on the inbound train from the airport !!! I HIGHLY recommend the shuttle bus service......it was only 10 euro's when we were there last time....catch the bus just outside the arrivals terminal, if you can't still find it....as someone at the information desk !!!!!

Take the KLM bus to the city from the airport. You can find it right out front on the curb in front of the taxi stand.
Don't you dare try and bring a car in the city. Amsterdam's public transportation is one of the worlds best. Use it.
