Hi!
My partner and i traveled with the AirExpressBus from airport Weeze (Germany) to the city Utrecht (Netherlands). Here is my experience with this buscompany. Don't mention my grammar!
Only AirExpressBus offer's public transfer from Airport Weeze to Utrecht. We paid about 50 euro's for our tickets and hat to wait aprox. 2 hours on the airport for the bus to come.
He was perfectly on time and we had enough room for our lugage. There were three passengers including my partner and myself. So we had enough room for ourselfs.
The bus itself was very dirty inside, there were bottles of watter and tissues everywhere (iek). I guess this car has never been cleened. Anyway, i'm a student so i'm used to dirty rooms. But the most annoying thing about the trip was the way the chauffeur handelded the gas pedal. He was not allowed to drive faster then 80 km/h because it safed money on gas. It was like a back-and-forth driving style where he constantly touched the gas a bit and then let loose. Very annoying and not relaxing at all. Last but not least, he drove us to some transfer place where we had to take the metro to the trainstation. It wasn't clear to me that we weren't taken to the transtation but to some garage outside of the city. Also to save money on gas/working hours.
Verdict: On time, enough room, fairly cheap, dirty bus, driving speed sucks and endstop isn't the central station! Some competition would be good.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
While the Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle does seem like the happy medium between an expensive cab and cheap train, it is completely unreliable. We've used the service 3 times and have always bought the 'round trip' ticket (25 Euros instead of the 15 Euro one way). The first time we booked with them, we narrowly missed our flight because it took an extra long time to collect us at our hotel. The second time we had no problems. The third time was very disappointing and we'll never go with this company again. From the onset the whole experience was ill-fated - it took over 90 minuets to get to our hotel because there were several stops to make for the other passengers. When it came time to return to the airport, the hotel concierge booked the shuttle 2 hours in advance like they recommend and took down the reservation number. We were told that there was a half hour window when the shuttle would show up. After waiting 40 minutes for the shuttle to come, the concierge called the shuttle dispatch and discovered that they had no record of our reservation despite having a confirmation number and that the next available shuttle wouldn't come for an hour which would mean we'd miss our flight. We had no choice at that point but to take a 55 Euro cab ride to the airport. They did reimburse us some money - only 10 Euros a ticket because we had used the first one way. The hotel concierge said that he's seen many problems before with Connexxion Hotel Shuttle and would never recommend them. Neither will we.
