    Tram service much of Amsterdam

Many trams service the city. Like biking, there are an inexpensive alternative to getting around. Be sure to pick up a map of the tram network.

    Neat car too!

These trams run on rails in the road. Watch out for them. The trams are very convenient to and around the City Centre.

    Crowded, but quick

by dmcmahan Written Jul 20, 2003
My *preferred* means of transport, if I could!

For 6 euros, you can get a strip card of tram tickets. The trams are crowded (and can be smelly) but Amsterdam is pretty largeon foot, so it is a time saver to take the tram.

    Tram & bikes

by gusgom Written Dec 18, 2003

In order to move around you can either walk, ride a bike, take the bus or the tram, and at night if you miss the bus take a taxi . Taxi drivers are pretty cool in Amsterdam

The trams are easy to use and travel all over the town. A day pass was 5 Euro and allowed unlimited use for 24 hours.

    Take the tram

The tram will take you everywhere in the city. And it is quiet nice, because you see a lot from the window and sometimes the people inside are really funny.

    Tram in the centre

Amsterdam has a cheap and efficient tram system. So, if you don't want to walk and you haven't hired a bicycle, take the tram.
