Vishandel Noordzee is just a small wooden shop ran by the Gerssen family at the outskirts of Den Helder at a very small local sjopping square.
Nonetheless there fresh seafood is superb and you can make a welcome stop there for a quick meal.

AMBROSIA is a small snack place with catering service.
Their buns (belegde broodjes) are the best in the area.
Furthermore you can order any tipical Dutch snack, like fries, kroket, gehaktbal upto half a chicken. Great Salades and cold buffets are available.
For in between Ambrosia offers lunch meals to take away (Euro 8.60) and even small hot dinners China art, Dutch art and more.
To complete the menu let's not forget the cool drinks, milkshakes and icecream.

Grand Café De Buuren van Pieck is located in a traditional house, that was used for the local branch of the Twentsche Bank. The interior is made up with a lot of old brown typical Dutch furniture. The ladies room is at the former bank safe.
There's a small outdoor terras in front at the Koningstraat. Indoors there are some nice front tables at the street windows. In the center is the bar with a reading table and some back room seats.
The name of the café (Neighbours of Pieck) originates from the fact that in 1895 Anton Pieck was born next door at nr. 87. Anton is famous as the inspirator of the Efteling Amusement Park.

Restaurant De Bonte Boel, Groet
If you have kids then you should visit this restaurant. It s great for kids, they are allowed to walk while waiting for the food, get some crayons and a colouring picture and when the bill is paid, they get another little present! Great fun to be there, lovely colours everywhere and the food is fine!
