Just behind the dunes is the Voorstraat with souvenir, clothing and icecream shops. As well as cafe´s and restaurants. These are open all days.

This grand cafe is placed next to the sea, you always have a good view on the sea and beach wether you are indoors in winter or in the summer outside on the terras. We only have coffee here (or something else) but it has a restaurant too.

I just visited a hotel here for a conference for 600-800 people to be held in 2006 in Alkmaar.
Its not hip, it isnt trendy but its the BEACH!. It has sand, sea, dunes, beach cafe´s and a little village. I come here since i was a little baby.
Everytime when I visit Amsterdam, I always want to stay in Egmond aan Zee. Why?! Because I love to see the ocean, sea or even rivers .........Hong Kong has a nice habour but I can't enjoy that very......
Noord Holland in November may not be everyone's idea of a holiday destination but it is worth the trip. The beach is quite spectacular for long walks. Back in the tidy little town of Egmond aan Zee......
