Photo Equipment: While most of us now carry point & shot digital cameras. If you do own a camera that has a wide angle lens, bring it!
Haarlem has some beautiful LARGE buildings. It is almost impossible to get some of these buildings in a single shot.
It is one of those places, that carrying the extra weight is well worth it.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The most important thing to pack when you come to the Ntherlands and Haarlem is an umbrella. Nothing is ever so fast changing as the weather here. Even in the summer it can rain every day! So be prepared.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: As the Dutch weather is not to be predicted, just make sure you have something for any weather type: shorts, t-shirts but also jeans, a warm sweater & a jacket. An umbrella isn't a luxury, but you can get them cheap at the shops. Bring your swimsuit! You never know if you can take a dip in the North Sea...Bring some smart shoes, at some nightclubs in Holland sneakers are a definate no-no.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If travelling light, don't worry-you can get about anything you need in Holland.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you're planning to go camping-go to Bloemendaal aan Zee (beach place next to Zandvoort. They've got different campingsites there, for instance 'de Lakens' (the sheets).
