Dutch and French food but daily specials as well, like Portugese stewed beaf.

They have food like entrecote, beef, a childrens menu (Euro 7,00 icl. dessert) and some vegetarian dishes. Salad, warm vegetables and French fries are served with all the dishes. You'll get enough food. It's not culinair food but it's just proper and very nice food.

Ask for bread with garlicbutter (kruidenboter) as a starter. The bread is warm and very crispy and the butter has a very special and delicious taste. (at about Euro 2,00)

The waitresses are friendly and they work fast.

The location of the restaurant is unique. It's in the old center of Haarlem near the Frans Hals museum. The interior is a bit like a bistro. There are two floors.

This location is also appropriate to visit with a group. Reservation recommended (beacause lot's of locals eat here)!!

A 3 course meal will cost you on average: Euro 20,00.

Favorite Dish: My favorite dish is Portugese stewed beef. All the food is in one plate. Small potatoes, unions, mushrooms and lots of soft stewed meat in a tasty (wine?)sauce.

This is one of the daily specials, so you have to be lucky to taste it. After you finished this dish you feel very full and satisfied. The daily specials are cheaper then the dishes on the regulair menu. This dish for example will cost you Euro 7,00.

The food is good and served by nice staff. They don't seem to have a lot of experience but if you come here it's the food that counts. It's not the best there is in Haarlem, but if you want good value and don't want to pay too much this is the place to go.

Favorite Dish: The carpaccio is very good and you have quite a lot on the plate too. I also like the marinated chicken breast which is baked very crispy. The main courses are served with french fries and seasonal vegetables. As a dessert you have to take the chocolate icecream with vanilla sauce and whipped cream. The chocolate has a very rich taste.

In a perfect ambience of this old building, you can have diner on the two topfloors. Delicious and good priced dishes, a lot of meat and fish. On the groundfloor you can have a beer as well, in the bar.
