The KZDH (Kust Zeilvereniging Den Helder) or the Den Helder Coastal Sailing club has its residence at the most Northerly point of the beach at Huisduinen near the Zus & Zo Beach bar.
The club sails with catamarans.

The Strandzesdaagse is a six days walk along the Dutch coast starting at Hoek van Holland and finishing at Den Helder, with stopovers at Wassenaar, Noordwijk, Velsen-Noord, Egmond aan Zee and Callantsoog. The total length is about 140 kilometers.
In 1959 Henk Horsman organised the first walk with 37 co-walkers. At Huisduinen there's a small sign to commemorate this fact.
The walkers camp the nights in between in temporary camping locations and their gear is being hauled to the next stopover by the organisation.
There's a limit of 1000 walkers for this anual event. Costs are about 150 Euro.
Equipment: Waterproof tent and good walking gear for walking at the beach (in sometimes stormy conditions).
