The island's wood-carving is famous and is demonstrated at the clog maker's, I have found that most of the people who visited Marken had this photo! hahahaha

Walk around Marken

 Pijlmans Says:  Marken is a former island, that is now connected to the mainland by a dam.It is a small fishermen's town with characteristic wooden houses.Other people already wrote interesting pages about Marken. Here I would like to draw your attention to the possibility to do a nice walk...

 extrajoce Says:  This close-up shot of a boat deck in the harbour of Marken shows some of the less obvious beauty of this charming fishing village. Leaving time to wander around is definitely worth it.

 extrajoce Says:  The harbour hosts a variety of sailing boats, making a good display of ropes, flags, wooden decks and curious seagulls. It is quite small and cute compared to large city harbours.
