On a very wet cold day this was the only place to be where hopefully i may warm up a little from the Hot Ovens inside.
Once inside the first thing that hits you is the Wonderful smell of Baking Spices etc.
It is however not only still a very active Bakery but a very nice working Museum too - it is a very ideal place for families with children.
There is some information in English but the demonstrations of baking where in Netherlands language only - but you could work out everything that has happening from the practical demonstations.
So you get to see demonstations of baking biscuits and an old fashioned ice cream maker - you can eat the ice cream fresh from the machine - you can buy Biscuits on your way out baked that day - and in the Cafe in side you can have a Biscuit and Coffee - so to taste before you buy - and this was on offer for 2 Euro when i was there.
Inside the Museum there are lots of old Machines - some you can operate - and are some nice old collections - including old Biscuit Tins.
There is a nice display of some Sugar Sculptures including a Steam Engine

Tourists can take the train from here to the town of Hoorn on the IJsselmeer. Since we had to return by bike to Enkhuizen, this didn't apply to us. Maybe we should come back another day. The steam engine is a very small one compared to the one we saw in Simpelveld (http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/21d0b/6fb5a/)

Have a look at the Castle Radboud. It was Count Floris V of Holland who demanded that a castle be constructed here to force the West Frisians to comply with his rule.
