I did not myself, but I hope to do some time, but you can make a walking tour through Noord-Holland. It starts in Den Oever and ends in Huizen. The distance is 200 km. You can cut this in 9 parts. You pass dikes, canals, farmerland, rough-hewn tracks, windmills and authentic villages

The Dutch Museum of Perfume Bottles is situated in a historical building, erected in 1599 in the centre of the friendly village of Winkel.
In earlier days this characteristic building served as weigh-house and town hall. After drastic alterations and renovation, it is now the home of a beautyful and very wide collection of over 7000 perfume bottles and a large range of miniatures.

When I visited the museum in november 2007 there also was a exhibition of shoes. on one side there were beautiful shoes of the Dutch disigner Jan Jansen, and on the other side there were little Chinees Lotus-shoes with his dramatic history, I think.

Welcome to this historic oasis which for almost 250 years has been the place for travellers, by boat or coach, to stop overnight and rest from their journeys. Nowadays it’s a place where musicians, tourists, walkers, cyclists and the locals meet. You can eat in the restaurant or have a glass of whiskey or a Guinness in the Pub. This is a place that, over the centuries, has played a pivotal role in this part of North Holland.

Favorite Dish: I had a high tea overhere, very nice

When you want to see the nature and buildings better you have to take the bicycle, or go on foot. In Holland you can hire bikes on the railwaystations for about 7,50 euro's a day. Also on bike-shops you can hire a bike. There are several routes on paper or follow the signpost on the way.
