Meesters: Time for a coffee
Igraine profile photo

Last year a new coffee-house opend in Purmerend and it was about time. Purmerend is seriously lacking decent places to have a coffee. They have delicious coffee and something to go with it, cakes and choco's.
Of course you can have lunch here as well.

Outside is a small terrace, good in summer but in the winter more for the die hard smokers.

Favorite Dish: Coffee, normal but they also do special coffee's with sirups and whipped cream and such

Its a very crowded, very popular restaurant with the locals. Tables are very close to each other so not good for romantic dinners. With some luck you can eat outside on a summer evening. Good staff too.

Favorite Dish: Everything is good to eat. It also does tapas.

Lots of linnen, cotton, cotton silks shirtrs, skirts, trousers, dresses and accessories.
For winter they have woolens, heavy cotton etc.
All is very comfortable to wear but can also be dressed up.

What to pay: Eur 15 to 100, depens a bit if you buy a shirt or a jacket.

It sells clothes out of the ordinary, no two pieces or power suits here, no jeans and no sweat shirts.
What it does sell are easy to wear clothes in all shapes, colors and sizes. Lots of wool, linnen, jerseys etc.

What to buy: Don“t search yourself let the staff help you. Once they know you, they will know what you like, already heave and more important what you dont like.

What to pay: A lot since it aint cheap here.

Favorite thing: The Waterland Ziekenhuis is the regional hospital. In 1988 it replaced the former hospital at the Veemarkt square in the center of town.
The new hospital is situated outside the center at the SE-side of town.
