The Thamerkerk church dates from 1835. Five centuries earlier the first wooden church was build at the Thamen hamlet. In the 17th Century the area became too wet and a new location was found a little more South at the Amstel river. Today the building a National Monument managed by the "Stichting Beheer Historisch Erfgoed Uithoorn".
