We didn't have a lot of time in Volendam and as it was a lovely day we didn't want to waste inside a restaurant. We came across a little deli place on a side street off the main harbour area and got a snack there so we could eat it sitting on the harbour wall enjoying the view and soaking up the sunshine. Unfortunately I don't remember the name :(
Favorite Dish: We both had bagels with ham and cheese and it made a nice quick and easy snack

If you are staying in Volendam, and not with a group in a big tourist bus, allow
some time to have dinner in in a small cozy cafe in the city embankment.
You can taste various dishes of local fish cuisine and also taste various types
of beer.
It is especially nice to sit in a cafe in the evening when the majority of
tourists have left the city? You can enjoy the views of the beautiful
embankment, the sea and the islands on the horizon.

A typical Dutch restaurant/pub/lunchroom. Just went in for a quick bite. It was good.
If you make reservations, ask for a table overlooking the harbour.
There's also a verandah around so if you're there in summer, it's a good option.
Favorite Dish: Erwtensoep (peasoup) and 2 croquettes with bread. With 2 softdrinks, totalled 12 euro 45.

There are numurous restaurants along the Dike near the harbour. Just go to one; they are all fine.
Favorite Dish: Fish.
