Zandvoort Favorites

Favorite thing: I fell in love with this town when I first went there. I come back there at least 3 times a year for a week each.
Nice little town, everything is in walking distance and there is everything anyone could need.
Amsterdam ist a 30 minute trainride away, Haarlem, the best city to shop in the Netherlands, is 15 minutes by train.
I love the beach, the sunset, the wind, the sea, the dunes, the waves.
The downtown area is really pretty.

Fondest memory: I miss (like mentioned above) the beach, the sunset, the wind, the sea, the dunes, the waves. And the Yanks... www.yanks.nl.
My dearest memory is when I first drove there, coming from Haarlem driving thru dunes for a while, then there is a turn and you first see the sea.... it had me right there and then.

Favorite thing: The beach is a nice place to take a stroll and breathe in the clean fresh air off of the beautiful North Sea.

Fondest memory: The sunset is nice to view if there arent any clouds to block the awesome scene. There are benchs along the boardwalk, but its best just sitting on the white smooth sand to see the event.

Favorite thing: The Kroon stand on the boardwalk has all sorts of fish to choose from. Some of the fish was prepared raw while fresh fish was also being cooked, which provided a nice aroma in the air.

Fondest memory: People were everywhere, either sitting or standing enjoying a traditional dutch favorite.

Favorite thing: Yanks is a very nice and spacious coffeeshop. There is a gameroom, downstairs and lots of additional tables upstairs. On the ground floor the tables have teepees over them which is real cool, the whole place is an Indian theme. Also there is a bar area where they serve alcohol and lots of outside tables which is nice to enjoy, weather permitting of course.

Fondest memory: The Beach and Yanks!

Favorite thing: Those tiny little cars are everywhere!

Fondest memory: This one is parked in front of a nice beachfront home located along Zandvoort's main beach drag.

Favorite thing: The Circus is a large indoor gameroom.

Fondest memory: Everything from pinball to airhockey and all the games in between. A kids paradise!
