Eethuys-Café De Zandvoorter is a great place for a lunch, light dinner or just a stop for a drink.
Prices are very reasonable and the quality is good.
The terras is from the seaside out of the wind, what makes this place very attractive most of the year.
Small seafood restaurant in the town centre of Zandvoort with a really nice chef. Nicely decorated and quite cosy with candles etc. Very friendly atmosphere and great service.
For a change a place that offers seafood not only deep fried ... Dutch do like deep fried food ... Therefore more expensive than other places. But worth the money.
Favorite Dish:
We ate the set menu (3 courses)
starter: melon with smoked salmon (yummy and so nicely decorated - too bad I didn't have a camera with me)
main course: fresh codfish on spinach with white wine sauce, scalloped with cheese
served with roast potatoes or french fries and salad
(great combination the fish with spinach and cheese - veeeery tasty and loads to eat. The salad dressing was really good as well. Somehow sweet and sour without being what you know from the chinese cuisine)
dessert: icecream or coffee (we had only one icecream to share as we couldn't fit anything in anymore ...) ICECREAM - all I can say - the real deal!!! The chef served us a plate with different flavours of icecream, chocolate sauce and cookies ... Oh my God ... to die for really ...
great food with an excellent sea-view. It is the only restaurants open in summer and winter right ON the beach!!
Good for lunch, but also a very good place to have diner, (check sunset times.....WOW)
The ambience and food quality are very good, service ok, not superb.
Very pleasant, nautical themed restaurant with a nice varied menu. We enjoyed the view of the beach and ocean. The food was good and prices were reasonable. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. She said the weather in Zandvoort is always better than inland. NOW we find out where the sun has been hiding, on our next to last day!
