When you arrive by vehicle in to Almelo you'd think: Now this city is bird friendly!" They put up lots of birdcages....how quaint.........

Winter in Almelo is cold, and it just keeps getting colder......... This picture was taken on December 5th (Sinterklaas) by friends of mine, just to make me feel good for being in sunny Australia...
In the recently build 'van Gogh' shopping centre in Almelo Windmolenbroek there are windows on the roof, and these halogene lights. Walking back from school to the train station, december 2003.
