This is a very popular place; don't be surprised the tour is fully booked for the coming year.

Ribhouse TEXAS is a American style BBQ restaurant. The building is mainly made of timber in a kind of cowboy style. Also the interior is completely made of wood and overloaded with Americana.
Service is very good for Dutch standards and prices are very fair.
Background music is country and some occasional hitsong. Some of the waiters will do a live performance of line dancing on the small stage.
Reservation by phone recommended.

To the West of Boekelo there are great cycling possibilities. Flock of cyclist will use the smal rural roads for their training practices. Next to that there are some special bicycle path to Haaksbergen through the nature.

Conrad is the only electronics component store in the region left. It has a great mailorder service too.
What to buy: Electronic components, model cars, batteries, computer stuff..... you name it.

De Spielehof is a converted traditional farm house. It has a small bar and eating room and an outside grill house.
To accommodate golfing there's a large driving range with many covered Tee's.
There's a seperate putting green and an indoor putting and chipping green.
The golf course is a full 18 holes area, most of them 4 par. The average distance to the holes is 70 meters. The area is bordered by a small forest, meadows and a ditch.
The facility is well equiped for small parties, getting a first golf introduction, play a game and enjoy the food and drinks.
Also available: A bed and breakfast.

Favorite thing: The local Tourist office is a branch of the Enschede Tourist office. It is housed in a characteristic former Drilling building at the train station.
