The City Hall dates from 1963 and has Italian and Scandinavian influences. Rumour says that the tower is build at the wrong side of the building, because the blueprints layed upside down at the construction.
The inside of the tower is painted by artist Piet Verberne with characters from local stories.

Next view is towards the city of Enschede.
Closeby you see the City Hall square and the Lambertus church (one of the few old buildings in the city not destroyed by the WWII bombings).
Farther away you see the new parking garage and the construction works for the new library.
At the horizon you see some buildings of the Twente Technical University.
