If you travel on the train, you can choose to walk to the inner center. It is a very pleasant walk: first through a street where the rich used to live and then along the canal. It is quite a walk, but when the sun is shining it all looks so lovely!
Busdrivers in Zwolle are very nice!! They are patient, humurous and helpful. You pay 1 guilder and 50 cents for the bustrip, real cheap compared to Groningen!

You can go to Zwolle by train and by car A28.
In Zwolle you go to Hasselt, Zwartsluis, Giethoorn.
In this area is Nature Reserve 'De Wieden': European class nature.

I took the train from Dusseldorf to Enschede though I had to change at the German border, I do not remember where. It's pretty good that I even can remember coming by train after all these beers.

Zwolle is easily travelled to by train.
From the Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht there are direct Intercity trains each hour during daytime.

Take a bus if you want to go from Zwolle-centrum to Zwolle north....
But take always bicycle with you.
