Breukelen Shopping

This designy shop was opened in December 2007. Very attractive shop with luxury fish produce that keep in mind that some fish should not be eaten too much (for fear of extinction).

I do hope this shop will have success. It puts the shopping experience in Breukelen a level higher. I don't see why not. The prices are considerable but this is a wealthy area.

What to buy: I bought a seaweed salad called Chuka Wakame (100 gram), a Thai fish cake, a tuna burger, some imaginative sushi, a tin of lemon sardines (Barbatena Sardinellas Limon) and a jar of lemon mayonaise.

Other produce was of course fresh fish (I saw 2 kinds of very good looking tuna), oysters, fish salads, organic olive oil, white wines and various fish-related interesting products, as well as all sorts of stuff for making sushi.
For lunch you can buy a sandwich there too.

So how did it taste? Well, the fish cake and tuna burger were lovely. Although I do think it will taste even better if you try out the recipes for this on their website so that you have them completely fresh. The sushi was delightful and I love the chuka wakame. Very refreshing, with a hint of sesame seeds. All quite savoury and full of flavour.
