Huis Doorn
The castle mainly attracts the visitors because of the fact that Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany lived here in excile after people declared Germany a republic in november 1918.
The castle is full of items collected or brought by the emperor. Since he died in 1941 the Castle remained untouched until now.
It's very interesting to see how he created his own imperium on 59 ha. of estate.

Sun. from 13.00-17.00 hrs.
Special openings on:
Easter Monday, Whit Monday and Ascension Day, between 10.00-17.00 hrs.
From 1 November until 14 March:
Tue-Sun from 13.00-17.00 hrs.
Mondays closed
Also closed on 25 December and 1 January.
