What a special and unique find. My family and I returned to this restaurant 3 times in 10 days! Service was great, kind, friendly and helpful. I tried a variety of foods, some traditional dutch and some with a taste of other cultural influences. Our server recommended wines for each coarse. All paired up wonderfully. The weather was nice and we had the opportunity to dine outside. I was impressed with the head chef. He came over to the table and thanked my family for dining at the restaurant, was gracious and definitely cared about our personal dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. A very pleasurable find!
Favorite Dish: The bread that is served with the seasoned butter and tapenade was a great starter. The white asparagus side vegetable just melted in your mouth. The green bean, onion and bacon dish amazing. I had sliced lamb that was mild and cooked to perfection. No mint jelly needed. Sliced Pork roast, tender and juicy. traditional Dutch croquette, crispy outer layer with ragout filling seasoned just right. Add a bit of Mustard and you have a nice quick warm lunch. The home made desert, fresh butter cookies and home made chocolates that melt in your mouth.

De Vierde Generatie (The Forth Generation) a restaurant which used to be part of the family run hotel Epping in Ijsselstein, Netherlands. The brother split up, one runs the hotel and the other the restaurant and is also the chef.
For the locals, the food is good, since there is not much else. For the traveler and person with some knowledge of food, it's a place NOT to go. The food is dry, cooked through and through and the service is really bad. The staff does not care for others besides the locals. Their faces show nastiness and evidence they don't want to serve you.
Favorite Dish: none.
My wife had glass in her food and no one cared. The staff simply said: *** happens.
