Den Heyligen Berg: Organic fruit garden with a cafe
The establishment is a fruit growing business that sells the fruit in its cafe in pies and other food types. It is also possible to buy the fruit in the form of jams, spreads and so on.
Lunch is served each day but only at lunch times and at other times only the fruit tarts and drinks are available.
The growing areas are rather untidy but I guess the growing areas do what they are supposed to do without looking tended. The seating areas are amongst the fruit trees and bushes and I have never seen anything as unique as this before. There is a small children's play area and it is possible to walk through most of the fruit growing area around the cafe.
They have an excellent website that is only in Dutch but reasonably easy to understand for non Dutch speakers.
Tapas Parador: Tapas restaurant
We had an excellent meal at this Spanish Tapas restaurant.
I've not translated all this back to English or Dutch, but these were the names of our tapas:
- Jamon Iberico (Iberian ham)
- Ensalade atun (tuna salad)
- Pollo Fresco (?)
- Pincho Pan con tomates (?)
- Chuletas de cordero (?)
- Gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp)
- Pan con alioli (garlic bread)
Favorite Dish: We had 7 tapas ranging from tuna salad, garlic shrimp, and very memorable Iberian ham (Jamon Iberico). The chef obviously loves his products. The prices of the tapas were in the range of 3,50-14.50 euro
2 coffees and 3 drinks included, we paid 56 euro. And left very satisfied.Related to:
