La Scala: La Scala
Favorite Dish: We had a quick lunch here: a mixed salad with olives, bread with mozzarella, and cappuccino. Friendly waiter who spoke Italian, to which I replied grazie!. Jennie suspected that this was part of this man's act - she thought he was perfectly capable of speaking Dutch!
Next to the 'Waag' is a very nice tearoom where lunch (especially soup) was enjoyed by me and a friend. Oldfashioned Dutch ambience and quite a busy place!
On the photo it's the biggest building with the step gable.
Favorite Dish: 'Today's soup' being tomato soup.

I had two excellent dinners at this restaurant where people with a light mental handicap work. They do their job in a terrific way!
Favorite Dish: I had two lovely meals, the prices are good, and so is the tablesetting.
Free parking behind the hotel or around in the streets.

Very nice dinner or lunch address. In summer there are a few seats and tables outside on the bridge.
Favorite Dish: I really can't remember but the food was good.
It has a good rating in the restaurant guides.
It's not an Italian restaurant but has a Mediterranean cuisine.

Eethuis "t Backertje: Lunch maybe?
This is where i had lunch. Food was nothing special, nice erwtensoep. Simple, good and cheap(ish). PLace is right nextdoor to the (in)famous heksenwaag.
They do make lovely cookies, which they call "waagjes" and sell in very nice cans.
