Soest Travel Guide

In the forest between Soest and Soestduinen you can find Cabrio, the local outdoor theatre. All sorts of music, poetry and theatre are performed here, from may to september. It has a 70 year history, with many different productions. In the last few years the number of productions (large and small) has been increasing.

There is a special quality to outdoor theatre, the contrast between the performance on stage and the sounds and feel of nature makes for a great experience.

On september 6th 2008 there will be a special performance commemorating the 70th anniversary of the theatre. It will be a special opera project by Opera Pietje (he is famous with the opera-loving Dutch), with a choir put together for the occasion with singers from all the local choirs.
