We came across these two locals, who decided that the pavement was the best place to soak up the sun. They were not interested in the passersby and was rather upset by me taking their photo!

I have no idea why this place is called Bavaria - I am reliably informed it is not because of the style of architecture - maybe because of the beer it sells??

I was surprised when in Utrecht to find many shops, including the Barber's, opened at night!
Utrecht is a very dynamic and lively city and one can feel safe walking alone even at night

Utrecht and in Holland in general are famous for all sorts of cheese, especially one called "Gouda"
Dutch tend to include cheese in almost every meal, for lunch or dinner
