Cafe Olivier is one of my favourite pubs in Utrecht and not just because of their extensive beer collection, which i am slowly but surely working my way through. For me, the first draw about it when i walked in, was the fact that this pub has been built into a renovated church. On the back wall you can still see the impressive set of organ pipes, although i am not sure if these are still operational or not.
The atmosphere here is also very chilled out. i have spent many an evening sitting outside (get there early if you want to sit outside in the summer as seating is limited... but also in high demand...
Food is also served and is not limited to your standard pub fare, but has many a Belgium speciality at fairly reasonable prices. Specialities include mussels and a wonderful mini whole chicken dish... so much so you can't stop eating...

Op 13-05-2006 zal er van 21.00u tot 02.00u in Chez Be Be in Utrecht een disco avond worden georganiseerd. Deze avond staat in het teken van een gezellige dansavond met Russischtalige muziek. De muziek zal afwisselend bestaan uit leuke dansnummers maar uiteraard ook muziek om samen met je vriendin lekker langzaam te dansen.
Voor de drankjes kunnen er in de disco muntjes worden gekocht. Bier en frisdranken kosten ˆ 1,30 en wijn ˆ 1,60. Normale tarieven dus!
Je kan je hier online opgeven voor deze avond.
Entreekaartjes kosten ˆ 7,50. Deze worden na betaling netjes per post naar het huisadres gestuurd. Vul dus een correct e-mailadres in!
Na het invullen van onderstaand formulier, ontvangt u direct een e-mail met de door u opgegeven gegevens.
De kaartjes worden op naam verstuurd. Bij de entree wordt uw naam gecontroleerd met de corresponderende deelnamelijst.

This palce is a kind of Dutch "Hard Rock Cafè" and it serves both as a restaurant and a club at night. Big place, frequent live music. Dancefloor with rock on fridays and a mix on saturdays. Most visitors around 20 or so, out-of-town folk
Many local bands also perform live here, mainly rock music of course!

My friends and I found this cafe/bar acidentally. The Irish pub was closed (who closes bar at 3pm?!?!?!) and we really wanted to have some beer, so we decided to walk into the first bar we see. Cafe De Stadsgenoot appeared to be a very nice place with a good service, the bartender kept answering me in English although I spoke Dutch with him, but it's ok, he's not the only Dutch that does it. Acutally 99.9% of them do this ;-)
The place doesn't offer a very big selection of beers but they have quite a few. I was happy with our choice of place, they served Duvel and Palm, what else do I need?

This bar in a former Maria Minor church is stunningly beautiful with high arched ceilings and the original organ. The bar serves Belgian beer and food. There was no table service, so we ordered rounds at the bar. Fantastic place for drinks.

The Beatrix Theater was designed by architect Arno Meijs, opened in 1999 and owned by Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties.
The main hall seats 1533 people. There are 8 more rooms with a capacity of up to 250 people.
The theater is the stage for long running popular musical shows, pop concerts, family shows and live TV events.
In 2003 the theater was renovated and turned into a modern thaeter, Nowadays the building is converted into an eco-friendly construction.

This is a venue whit a relatively small stage. A lot of well known artists come to play here. On other nights there are dj's. On thursday night a lot of students go here. Tivoli has more locations, but this one is in the city centre.

Kafe Belgie one hell of a gezellige bar! It's in a wondrous location - looking out on to the Oude Gracht. It has one of the best stocks of Belgie flesbieren (Belgian bottled beers) anywhere - see my pic of the menu. If you're there with your mates, it's joyous. If you are alone, fret not; within five minutes you will have got chatting to someone. Whether you're starting or finishing an Utrecht night out, Belgie is a must.

If Oude Gracht is Utrecht's yellow brick road, then Ledig Erf is most definetely its pot of gold. Whether on a warm, sunny day or in the deep mid winter, this oozes geselligheid. Like it's 'neighbour', it's got a great range of flesbieren. But its for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere that I always return.

Nice cafe in the city center (Oude Gracht) where you can have a beer, have a cheap simple meal and later in the evening enjoy some life music with mostly good artists. Well known in the whole of Holland, and when you are lucky famous artists like to give there free jam sessions.
