Good for: Families
We have to acknowledge that even more adventurous Italians, even those who like tasting all typical products of the area in which they are travelling after a few days of wustel, fries and fried onion they would like eating real italian food.
The problem is that too often the restaurants that pretend to be "Italians" at the end are not italians at all: rich menu with an endless list of starters, main courses and desserts that can be identified as italian only by the name.
In Groede, a town in the south of the Netherlands, there is this cute restaurant on the beach, Strandvaviljoen Matour, with an extremely welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy dishes fully included in the tradition of Italian cuisine. From appetizers to main courses, from seconds to contours, to the desserts ... All Italian to the core.
The menu is not an endless list of dishes ... A few proposals, but all of excellent quality. The cook is Sicilian and she can really reproduce all the smells and tastes of her land!
The place is really comfortable and familiar . The service from 10 to praise and... Dogs are allowed!!!
So... Buon appetito!!!
Favorite Dish: As Emilian I have to say that the lasagna is really not to be missed!
As a dessert lover I think you cannot go away from Matour without tasting the "Parfait". It's simply faboulos!!!Related to:

Groede Off The Beaten Path
There's a little nude beach in south direction of Groede. It's visited specially by Belgian people cause it's not far away from Belgian border and there's only one nude beach in Flanders.
In summer it's very crowdy.
