    Spennekot: Organic produce

    Spennekot is a culinary farm on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland in the province Zeeland. It is near a region of protected nature (Plan Tureluur) which is surrounded by national park De Oosterschelde. This farm was started in 2003 by Mathilda van Leeuwen, with the objective to integrate organic cuisine with produce from their own vegetable garden and fruit trees, together with regional produce.

    What to buy: Jams mustards, herbs from the stall that they often have on markets. The farm has a shop, open every Wednesday from 10-17 hrs or if you make an appointment. Their culinary arrangement includes 2 drinks and a 2 course meal that you make yourself as a group. This costs 25 euro p.p.

    What to pay: I bought an extra strong mustard and a jar of whisky/orange marmalade. For € 7 total, I think. Delicious!
