Favorite thing: Small town palace built in 1765 for the Van de Perre family. The architect is J.O. Baurscheit.
Fondest memory: The house is open for visitors but I will have to check when and how.

Favorite thing: This was a weighhouse until 1823. In front of it is a fountain, built in honour of the visit of Queen Emma and her daughter Queen Wilhelmina.

Favorite thing: It was closed when I walked by and there was a sale on too (Opruiming means Sale). It's in the Wagenaarstraat.

Favorite thing: You see this a lot in The Netherlands. Big houses that are very wide but not deep. Probably to make an impression on people.

Favorite thing: Entering through the gate into the abbey (under the coat of arms) you'll find this little nest. The bird didn't blink when I first used my camera flash and posed for this better picture :-)

I went to Middelburg on a nice afternoon. I was never been here before, but I was extremely surprised. Such a nice town, and not even more than 150 km. from my home!! Now I feel I want to go there......
