Tulips on the Thursday market by ouchh If you come to Holland, you surely MUST buy tulips; nice for in your hotel or tent. It's the Worldwide symbol of Holland (although I guess they are probalbly imported from Uganda)! You can choose of many different kinds of colours and types.... Leave a Comment Theme: Flowers

perfect snack, this herring by ouchh Hollandsche Nieuwe is herring eating RAW on the thursday market. It's typically Dutch and extremely nice, this long thin silver sea fish! Eat it with onion. Pik it up at the tail and then lift it in your mouth, that will be delighted by the taste!! I promise! Leave a Comment Theme: Food and Drink

MIDDELBURG SHOPPING by ATLC Second hand and antique bookshops. The building next to it has antique maps which I love. I used to browse here some 15 years ago already and bought quite a few books which I used to have when I was little but were lost.

MIDDELBURG TOY SHOP by ATLC Middelburg is the capital of the province, so you would expect quite a few shops. You're right, there are plenty of shops. But many of the chain variety. I did not see many shops that entice you to browse local products. The interesting shops (books, wine, galleries) are a bit out of the town center. You'll find some nice shops in the triangle Vlasmarkt/Beenhouwerssingel/Gortstraat. That's outside the pedestrian area. Don't go fashion shopping in Middelburg. You'd be better off in Breda. Personally I find nearby Vlissingen to be much more attractive shopping than Middelburg. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Nice ladies selling bananas by ouchh Also on the market, you can buy very cheap fruit and a big choice! Although it's almost all imported stuff (Holland is mostly an applecountry), it's still fresh. isn't it amazing! Cheap? no! Leave a Comment Theme: Food and Drink
