STORM SURGE BARRIER by ATLC From Amsterdam go direction Europoort at Rotterdam. Follow the A15 right to the end and change to the N57. This takes you along the west side of southern Zuid-Holland and Zeeland across Haringvlietdam and Storm Surge Barrier (Stormvloedkering). The deltaworks are a great sight to see. Both Haringvlietdam and Neeltje Jans have visitor centers where you can see expositions and visit the inside of the barriers. This route is a little shorter (180 km.) than the previous route but it takes a bit longer: 2 hrs and 40 minutes. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Middelburg Train Station by pieter_jan_v The Middelburg Train station is at the south side of the old city at the "Kanaal door Walcheren". You have to cross this canal to get to and from the train and passing ships may block the passage over the bridge! Normally there are 2 trains per hour leaving to Roosendaal/Rotterdam. One is a direct Intercity train; the other stops at all stations in between. Leave a Comment
