All about NATURE you will find here.....5 wealthy sources, rich in info for you and you and you and even for you there!!!!
May I give you some advice??
Use good binoculars or, still better, a telescope...
NEVER stay on top of the dyke (upright) but lie down and watch over the top of the dyke, as careful as possible....
Your car is also OK, but....you have to stay in it to have the best chance.....
USE THE BIRDWATCH OBSERVATORY HUTS......we have quite a lot of them....
For more info about the huts have a look here: wwsw.zeelandnatuurland.nl
As in most cities and towns in The Netherlands we here in the Province of Zeeland do have our mills.
There are 2 mills near my house, which I pass by every time I cycle to town!
And believe me: it is always a joy to see them waving their wings!!!
We also have mills were one can buy flour etc. to bake bread (which I always love doing in Winter.....)
And some mills can be visited, but not all, because it is quite risky: so many moving parts and such a narrow winding stair....
But do try to visit one and you will be impressed!
For more info ask VVV office which every city, town and village has one (or more!)
"DE WITTE WANDELINGEN"
This is THE address for more-days-walking holidays with transportation of your luggage!!
You walk free and easy and the luggage will be brought to the next address where you will arrive in the evening!
You will realise how useless it is to hasten, that there is time for reflexion and relaxation...
Your surprises will be: a bird that suddenly soars high or suddenly dives down from high in the air, breathtaking views, dreaming but curious cows and....fighting the elements!!
You can get your holiday TAYLOR MADE: you tell how many days you want to walk, how many hours per day.
De Witte Wandelingen will make reservations for you at special hotels and will take care of your luggage...every day of your stay!
As you have seen in my Intro, my Province consists of a number of little islands.
There was a time that over a 100 ferries, imagine that!
But dykes and dams and bridges have been built and the ferries are disappearing but.... during the summer months a number of ferries is working again for cyclists and walkers to make them feel how Zeeland once was.
Sometimes these ferries follow traditional old trajects!
A SPECIAL "ALMANAC" in which you can find everything regarding these ferries, you can buy at all VVV (Tourist Information Offices) in ZEELAND.

The 15th and 16th Century were GOLDEN TIMES for Arnemuiden.
It was a very busy trading place and from the harbour goods were transported to Middelburg, Brugge, Ghent, Antwerpen etc..
The air above Arnemuiden was often black: salt was refined day and night and salt is/was so precious: it brought wealth to Arnemuiden.
But NATURE could not let is last for ever: the harbour and entrance to the sea got silted up and ships went to other harbours....
There is also het "UUSJE VAN EINE" in Arnemuiden very worthwhile of your visit!
BOTH museums are situated / located at the old town-hall, Langstraat 35 in ARNEMUIDEN near Middelburg....
Het "UUSJE VAN EINE" is opposite the museum.
