Bliek Lunchroom (2008)
2 more images

This lunchroom/bakery has a heated terrace which wasn't a luxury on the first day of spring 2003. And again in spring 2006 and 2008. The interior has been modernised and outside there are appealing red blankets folded over the chairs for those that do want to sit outside.

Favorite Dish: Coffee € 2,05
Tea (small pot) € 2,95
Freshly baked Brussels wafer (see next picture) € 3, 50

Opening hours (bakery and lunchroom):
Mon-Fri 8.00 - 17.30 | Sat 8.00 - 17.00 | Sun 09.00- 17.00

The central place : This lunchroom/bakery has a heated terrace which was a luxury on the first day of spring 2008. But the central place has more to offer, like shops and a excellent view on the local highlights, like the town hall

De Campveerse Toren: Very good but a little bit pricy

Museeuw 225 reviews

The restaurant of the hotel where we stayed has an ideal location next to the lake, and the room itself is beautiful. The food was really good, but a bit too pricy to my feeling. But if money is not an option you will adore this place.

Favorite Dish: The crème brulée.

In den Struyskelder: Yummie in the basement!

Museeuw 225 reviews

I love basements, so every time I see a restaurant in an old basement I can't resist to go there. Most of the time I love the atmosphere, and here I definitely did. And when the food is great also, it's an amazing experience. Both my wife and I had some really good fish here, and I had a very fine dessert (vanilla pudding with cassis cream) afterwards. The waitress was really friendly and the house wine was good. So there's no excuse to skip this restaurant when you're in Veere.

Favorite Dish: Zeeuwse waterzooi, fresh fresh fresh fish in a broth with tasty vegetables.

Garden of Suster Anna

'Eeterij', litteraly translated as 'eatery', is mainly a pancake restaurant. They also serve a few salads, sandwiches, soups and other small dishes for lunch. And ice-cream!

Favorite Dish: Pancake with hot cherries and whipped cream!!

Something more about the nice building: it's narrow and long and the front room has an original high ceiling. From the back room the guests have a nice view on the lovely old city garden. There's a small pond with gold fish and some nice bushes and trees. It's a great spot to enjoy afternoon coffee, with pancakes!
There's also a sidewalk terrace that faces the market square. Always something to see there!

Fresh seafood for lunch!

If you want to taste some fish but not spend a fortune this is the best budget tip: Buy your lunch at the Lekkerbek. They even have some tables and chairs outside of you can take it with you to the harbour and eat it there while you enjoy the vieuw on the boats.

Favorite Dish: Kibbeling with sauce and a sandwich with Dutch shrimps.......... YUMMIE!

Irina at the yaughtharbour of Veere

Favorite Dish: Mosselen (clams): Zeeland is the place to be to eat clams as here they are growing in the in/outlets on enormous clam-acres under water. My favorit way is the fried clams with ravigotti or remoulade-sauce.
