Every visit to Veere is not complete without a small purchase at the Grandma's sweet shop where two lovely ladies in old-fashioned aprons help you choose some goodies from big glass pots.
What to buy: Liquorice, Zeeuwse babbelaars, honey sweets and loads of other sweets. Big choice!
What to pay: About 2 euro for 250 gr. of sweets.

Wolfert and Mary cellar ! A souvenir shop. Watch out your steps, located at the main street of Veerle.
In previous times it was a basement restaurant called 'In den Struyskelder" But times they are changing. I can imagine that the rent prices are one of the highest in the center of Veere

What to buy: Not cheap, but very exclusive, prices around 50 upto 100 euro

On the market you will find a house called "de oude pastorie" but it's not really the name of the shop. I don't know if the shop has a name but the older owner sells mainly postcard, newspapers and books. Inside it's old and a little messy but that's what I liked about the place......
What to buy: Postcards and more

A lovely shop with all sorts of stuff for your kitchen and special toys for children (wooden toys, not the main stream stuff).
It's a bit expensive (relatively) but a great place to browse and buy gifts.

Old model (but new) stove which gave off a terrific heat. After all, it was the first day of spring: sunny but with a cold wind.

To entice you to come inside, the shops stall their goods outside. This shop (previous picture is the shop as seen inside) is on the harbour front.

Browse to your hearts content: maritime clothes, crockery, candles, Dutch and local specialities (sweets, biscuits etc.), books for children and travel, many many gifts.

I suppose this shop goes under home furnishing. All sort of mostly English interior stuff. Like coasters, cups and saucers, accessories for in the house or kitchen etc. Also souvenirs and postcards.
