The Boulevard, Vlissingen
It's always busy and so alive. You can just relax somewhere and have a drink or just wander over the boulevard. What makes it so different from all other boulevards???? The atmosphere, the view over the ocean, watching ships sail by. That's what's different and it's clean.
The Oranjemolen (Oranje Mill) is located at the Oranjedijk. It was constructed in 1699 and restored in 1971.
In 2000 the mill has been elevated by 2 meters.

That's what I mostly do when I'm in Vlissingen: enjoy the lovely beach. ;)
The sand is fine, soft and whitish and there's always a little breeze. OK, the Northsea water is cold but who cares?!
On a fair day you can see Belgium from here. It is amazing how much the wall protects the town from the weather! This was not a fair day.
I don't know who designed these but they were different. This was the only section like this in an otherwise traditional dutch town.
