Restaurant Croissanterie Chez Andre is located at the sunny side of the turfkade with a view at the boats visiting Brielle.
Great for a lunch or an in between coffee or tea.
Mo-Th: 9AM - 6PM
Fr-Su: 9AM - 9PM
i just had a nice glass of fresh orange juice here and a cup of coffee after my walk. But i saw some plates of food pass by and it looked delicous..
What i really did appreciate was the relaxed ambiance inside.. i can imagine that it would be different in summer, but it was really to my liking. Not too crowded, not completely empty either..
I've been here agian in summer (2009). Busy and the terras is fine. Great for people watching (a favorite passtime). My second favorite place in Brielle so far.
It is a really nice place with most excellent food. What i particularly liked about it is that the stones from the street continued as the floor of this place. Giving it a very down-to-earth ambiance. So a very nice place to just sit and have a coffee or hang out for a longer period of time and eat a great lunch.

I went here again the other day (2007) and am so glad that it is still as good as i remembered it. lunch was great and i loved the homemade apple pie we used to top off lunch...
I've been back again several times already this time (2009) and the place is always packed. The food is even better than i remember. My absolute favorite place in Brielle.
Favorite Dish: Everything i had here has been very very good. Not that i've been here so much (there is still a lot on the menu i need to try). It is basically a breakfast/lunch place but during the weekend it is open for dinners as well.
Take-out Chinese food, is both convenient and economical. As I didn't want Hans' sister to cook for us all the time, we opted for having Chinese. I actually rode on the bike to go and get it, that way the food would still be warm when I brought it home.
Favorite Dish: We ordered two servings of Sate' ( which is like our shish-kebab, but comes with a delectable peanutbutter sauce mmm), babi pangang & Kip Kerry ( noodles & rice dishes with chicken) and Kroepoek ( a type of wafer which has a shrimp taste to it).
Jim van der Velde is a young chef who found an original way to earn his money. He doesn't have money to buy and run a restaurant. So what he does is cook 5 course dinners at people's houses.
Two days a week he cooks at my favourite and indeed top restaurant in this region: Cuisine Savoureuse in the nearby village Zuidland.
This quaint little Brielle restaurant HET "MELKMEISJE" is a favourite of the locals. It has a cozy little patio to sit and enjoy that cup of coffee or afternoon tea and maybe a slice of apple pie with whipped cream. MMM Lekker.
On Saturday, September 27, Anke-Thea prepared for us a fabulous dinner--a Dutch-Indonesian dish called Bami. It was absolutely delicious. For dessert, an awesome strawberry shortcake. Anke-Thea --- You're the best!
This Cafe ,Restaurant , has a rich warm interieur with a beautiful Bar and lots of shiny dark wood , it was really nice .
This building was formely used to house the
'' Marechaussee '' (Militairy Police).
Favorite Dish: After the Tour with Anke Thea, we were treated by ATLC & husband to a nice drink and some real Dutch finger food as we call at ,a plate with delicious snacks like little kroketten and bitterballen etc.
It was very nice and well appreciated.
Hmmm, I miss "Asian" or "Indonesian" in the theme list but there you have it:
Open Tuesdays to Sundays from 12.00-21.30
Favorite Dish: Babi Pedis (spicy pork), Oedang Mentega (big spicy shrimps, fried in butter), Babi Spek (crisp roasted pork, a speciality, Ikan Pepesan (traditional dish of fish from the oven), great Sateh (goat, pork, chicken pieces on sticks, grilled). And more!
The only thing referring to the name Pablo (Spanish!) is the home made sangria.
The restaurant belongs to hotel Atlas, right in the center of Brielle. The owner is Turkish and it just very slightly peeps through on the menu which is overally French/Dutch.
Good food, kind service.
Tip: in summer on Mondays, there are carillon concerts and if you have your meal in the garden, you can enjoy food and live carillon music at the same time.
Favorite Dish: The filopastry rolls filled with goats cheese or minced meat.
Small restaurant but in summer you can sit outside on the little square in front of the restaurant and enjoy old Brielle.
The menu is very good, service too.
Favorite Dish: .
You must try the cappucino at CHEZ ANDRE'. It's the best. Inside you will find it to be a very warm, cozy atmosphere.
Means Black Sheep.
Intimate restaurant frequented by locals.
Favorite Dish: Besides separate items on the menu there are always 3 set menu's for a friendly price
