The Belvedere is quite easily among the most popular cafes of Delft. Located right in a lively locality of Beestenmarkt, this place is always full of people - something I like a lot!
What I do have to recommend here is the french fries. This is a Belgian cafe and true to its name it does have Belgian mayonnaise. Its probably the best mayonnaise I have had. I know its slightly weird to have a tip on french fries and mayonnaise but thats how much I liked it. So whenever you feel like french fries and mayonnaise - you know where to go!

We visited this club on May 5th 2007. This club would not allow us in (a group of 10 people). They do not allow foreigners in and even told our Dutch host that the reason for not letting us in was because we were a group of foreigners. As a group we comprised of 1 Dutch (resident of Delft), 1 English, 1 German, and 7 French.
This was a disgusting attitude from the management.

Located just behind the city hall, the Waag is the site of the old Weighhouse and was last used for that purpose almost 50 years ago. It now functions as a bar/restaurant and is a very pleasant place. I tend to go there for a drink when in Delft and I have also been there on a graduation party as the last floor can be rented for private parties (it was quite nice).
The service is usually very good, the staff is very friendly and efficient.
I also had dinner there once and, although not bad at all, it was not great either, so I prefer to come here at night for a drink or a quick snack.

This is from hear-say only so judge for yourself; a female friend of mine used to hate the nightlife in Delft because it was dominated by students, a large majority of whom were male and a bit frustrated too because of the small number of female students. She and her friends preferred to go to gay bars, at least the men there would leave them alone.

Speakers really is the best in town. There's a bar where you can enjoy a drink or two, or three, or ten. But there's so much more. There are a lot of concerts held here by famous or not so famous acts. Or you could enjoy a movie sometimes or a couple of salsa lessons. It's almost an entire activity center. But the best part is still just to sit at a table or have a drink at the bar.
Open every evening and the whole day in the weekends.

Delft is a university city (Technical University Delft) so there are plenty of students and thus plenty of pubs and places to go out.
One example is Disco Lorre.
Dress Code: No dress code that I'm aware of. The Dutch are quite relaxed in that sense.

Bebop is a jazzcafe where you can eat and drink.
Or simply watch the old-fashioned wallpapers.
A good place to get a rest on workingdays, crowded in the evenings of the weekends.
