Why not pack your own lunch and go and enjoy it on one of the benches next to the canal. You can sit there quietly and enjoy nature and greet the people going past whilst walking their little doggies.
The year of 2006 was a warm year and, a record for its warmth. So the cold of the December-nights was not that surprisingly, and in the cold we welcomed the little fast-food on our way to the centre of Gouda. Mr. Bram Ladage and his wife we know form the good old days, so it was nice we bumped into the fast-food shop of Bram Ladage...
Special note: Do you know what an "Orb" is? It is an energy ball, which you cannot see with your eyes. Just on photographs these "Orbs" show themselves, ... and I think there are some on this pic. See the white balls ???
Favorite Dish: The Bram Ladage fast-food shops are famous for its "zakje patat", some French Fries in a bag. Yep, the fresh potatoes are the best here, and you can taste the good of it. It is worth a try ... really!
Apart from cheese, Gouda is also famous for stroopwafels which are thin syrupy waffles. The best ones use fresh butter for the caramel filling. They are mouthwatering delicious especially when bought warm and fresh from one of the many bakeries and then washed down with strong hot Dutch coffee.
You can also buy them in Delft Blue style ceramic containers as a souvenier to take home.
La Cubanita is a Cuban Tapas restaurant. If you have been toCuba this sounds a bit strange because Cuba has nothing to do with good food. But La Cubanita is a nice place with good food. Actually it is one of the nicest restaurants of Gouda.
Favorite Dish: chicken in honey
Tearoom van den Berg serves coffee and tea and has a lunch menu.

Favorite Dish: I'm sorry but the whole crew had coffee and stroopwafels free of charge! So I don't know any prices.
Great food. Ummm! So many plates, wines, tapas...go inside and discover a huge variety of ideas to eat as good as you never imagine!
Favorite Dish: Patatas Bravas!
Wanna try some real Dutch pancakes?
probably the best place is the Pannekoekenhuis. It can be found right behind the St Jans' church, next to the city museum.
