    Garden designs

by irisbe Updated May 18, 2003

    garden design

Favorite thing: Over seven million bulbs: bulbs of tulips, narcissi, hyacinths, lilies, gerberas and orchids.
The crème de la crème of what the flower industry has to offer is unfolded here under your very eyes. Spread over 32 hectares, the park offers you delightful colourful flowerbeds, often in very unexpected colour combinations.

Fondest memory: Have an eye for the design of the paths, the flowerbeds. Sometimes they are really geometric designs; sometimes they appear to be incidental.

    A Grand Exhibit

    by jenn_d Written Jan 2, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: A short train ride from Amsterdam in the town of Lisse is Keukenhof-the world's largest flower gardens.

Keukenhof sits on 32 acres of immaculately cared for land. The colors of the flowers are some of the boldest and brightest that you may ever see. Even if you are not a flower enthusiast, Kuekenhof still warrants a visit.

The gardens are least crowded in the afternoon. If you choose to go later in the day be sure to allow enough time to wonder aimlessly.

Fondest memory: A kiss from a Dutchman on a secluded pathway :-)

    Keukenhof

Favorite thing: Keukenhof is one of the best place that I think anyone and everyone should go when visiting this country. Even though it's the largest garden in the world, your legs will never get tired as it is an awesome place and you'll never regret it.

Fondest memory: Visiting Keukenhof was the first thing that I did when I was in the Netherlands, and it gives such a wonderful memories. Since that day onwards, I planted a very good memory and impression of this country, that is the beauty that lies within this lil country.
