Enjoy walking along the marina and remaining city walls of Leerdam.

The small river Linge, bordered by beautiful water meadows, defines the atmosphere and tone of the landscape.

Leerdam is internationally known for it's glass industry 'Royal Leerdam', and designerglass or glass art 'Royal Leerdam Crystal'.

Major tourist attraction are the National Glassmuseum and Glass Center (national & international glassblowing and demonstration activities).

To hike from Leerdam to Beesd is one of the daytrips that the NS (the Dutch Railways) can offer you. The best time to do this hike is during the spring season because at that time everything is so beautiful there like the blossom of the fruittrees......
The hike is 16 km so make sure you wear good shoes en take some drinks and snacks. For more information, just take a look at the NS-homepage or ask me.....
