If you are on a tight budget or just feel like going for a walk around the fields, there are many to bee seen close to Lisse.
You can usually walk right in the fields (try not to step on the flowers, obviously).
It is not necessary to know exactly where to go, just driving/biking towards Lisse you will find many colourful, beautiful fields along the road.

Keukenhof is the only big attraction in Lisse and is even quite famous internationally.
It is a 32-hectare large "garden" where you can enjoy seeing many different kinds of flowers.
The colours are just great!
There are outdoor fields and indoor flower shows. Check the webpage for exact days.

When in Lisse, visiting the Keukenhof is inevitable. Is it really? Well, if you are a serious flower enthusiast, you will probably have to see the displays, the landscaping and the pavillions. I was there the first weekend in April, many flowers still weren't blooming. With the floral islands amidst the landscaped lawns, it all looked a bit like Teletubby-land to me. Only fewer hils, more trees and no rabbits and silly puppets running around (but lots of tourists).

If you want to see spring flowers, specially the bulb flowers, you have to go to Holland. Tulips and hyacints of all sorts and colours. So much to see, enough for a whole afternoon. So if you ever are in Holland again in the spring. Go there!

It is world's largest garden. Its beauty is remarkable where millions of bulbs - tulips, daffodils and hyacinths, bloom every year, perfectly in place and exactly on time. It is normally open late March to late May .

Keukenhof is the best and biggest flower show I have ever seen. It can get quite overwelhming and at the entrance the lines were very long but once past that everyone had enough room to spread out.
