Car is the best way to travel around as it will allow you to stop as often as you want for pictures or just sightseeing.

Bicycle is also a great option, it takes about 30 minutes to an hour (depending on your level of fitness) to get to Lisse, but you can see many fields along the way.
If necessary, you can rent a bike at the station. For more information, take a look at my
Leiden bike rental tip.

There is a also bus - 54 (Keukenhof Express) - leaving from Leiden Central train station that will take you right to Keukenhof. There are some fields to explore on foot, not too far away, but this is probably not the best option if you do not want to stick to Keukenhof.

The garden is on the outskirts of Lisse, Netherlands, between The Hague (Den Haag) and Amsterdam. From The Hague, take A-44 toward Amsterdm and exit at N207 toward Lisse. From Amsterdam, Take A-4 toward The Hague and exit at N208 toward Lisse. Near Lisse, ther will be signs directing traffic to Keukenhof.

By Train: Traval to either Leiden or Haarlem and take bus No. 54 to Kenukenhof

How much: Parking cost 5.50 euros.
