It depends how you arrive here in the Netherlands but when you dont have a car, bike or somethings else you can go with a cap. Its not cheap, specially in the weekends, you have to pay double in the eveninghours.

Ofcourse you can travel with the bus. There is a place near the center where you can get a bus to almost any place nearby Naaldwijk.
All you have to do is get some tickets in the store near the stopplace of this busses (the shop is called Albert Heijn) or at the postoffice.Dont get in the bus without them, you will get a file for doing this!!

Main Bus station in Naaldwijk

Public transport is limited in Naaldwijk, you can only travel by bus or by taxi.

You can get from Naaldwijk to and from The Hague and Rotterdam.

If you're not in a hurry you take a normal bus which will make a lot of stops in "t Westland".

But there's also an express bus which will take you much faster to this cities.

You can buy your tickets from the chauffeur (most expensive) or buy them at a shop where they sell "Strippencards". Shops that carry these cards are the larger grocerie stores (at the service desk where they sell magazines) or at postal offices (there's one just to the right just pass the theater "de Naald" of this bus station in the city center.

ZONES

There are a few choices.

If you have to travel regular you could by a week, month or year membership for a set amount of zones. When you are just visiting once or just a few times over a period of time you could better by "Strippencards".

STRIPPENCARDS

These come in different sizes depening or where you by them. But in general you can say the larger the amount of strips the more economical they are. Sizes ranges from 2 to 45 strips.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH A STRIP

Cities are divided in zones, for every zone you need to travel you will need 1 strip.
After you found out the amount of zones you have to travel through (displayed on maps around the station) you have to stamp your card. You'll have to remind if you need to travel through 3 zones you'll have to stamp the fourth strip.

TRAVELTIME

When you stamp your card there's also a time stamped on your card. Your allowed to travel through the zones you payed for, for a limited time only.

2 to 4 strips 1 hour
5 to 7 strips 1,5 hours
8 to 10 strips 2 hours
11 to 16 strips 3 hours
17 to 20 strips 3,5 hours

REDUCED FAIR

There are special pink strippencards for childeren aged 4 to 11 and peoples carrying a 65+ senior citizen pass. These card have a reduced fair.

Old Train Station in Naaldwijk

It was possible to go by train and end up in Naaldwijk. The proof of this can still be found near the Center of Naaldwijk. As you can see on the picture there really was a trainstation..

Infact the station still stands only it's now a meeting center for foreign people who live here.

busstation in Naaldwijk

This place is near the centre of Naaldwijk. This is where you can wait for the right bus to come. You can take a bus to Hoek van Holland and take a train to Rotterdam or go straight away with the bus to Rotterdam, Den Haag or where ever you wanna go. Most busses come every 30 minutes or once in an hour.
