City center, Rotterdam

It's located right on the Coolsingel, the city's artery. It's almost always crowded and has a nioce bustling atmosphere. Not, haute cuisine, but it has yet to disappoint me.

Favorite Dish: Tris di Pasta - three different kinds of pasta. It's always different.

Also, try the Vitello Tonnato as a starter

Café-Restaurant FLOOR is a very nice place to go ......

You will wonder about the enormous terrace they have at the back side of the building.

Inside it is cosy and snug but the best place is the terrace in Spring, Summer and Autumn (weather permitting of course!!).

The terrace is split level, lots of plants and trees which form cosy, private corners......birds come to beg for crumps of all the fine spices you eat!

Favorite Dish: It is great to sit there when dusk is coming in and the lanterns and candles are lit....

They serve very tasty dishes: their soups are formidable......especially the soup with lots and lots of the finest shrimps......and also the onion soup (gratiné....)

Whatever you will order: it will surprise you.

You can also make reservations for (little) groups / family or other......

Nice atmosphere..good food and service..and you can eat as fast or as slow as you like..It's a two floor restaurant where it's always busy. Be sure to reserve your place when going there in the weekend...

There is a bar but not so much space to sit or stand there waiting...

When the weather is right you can also eat outside the restaurant.

Favorite Dish: Kolokithakia..An delicous appetizer...just try it.. Something else that's very nice especially on a hot day is a Frapé. This is ice coffee.

The Staff in this resturant. is very pleasant and helpful. even there can speak english very well. . even if you cant speak dutch! the Beers is cheap as well . also. there cook your steak how you wanted it either medium rare or well done

Favorite Dish: I had a three course meal and it was a set meal for 17 euros and 50 cents . which was great i had a soup then followed then a steak with fries and salad but you help your self to the salad cart !once then the dessert was ice cream with pancake!

This location is a combination of a travel agency, grand-café, lounge and restaurant. You can book a trip here or read something about travelling while eating one of the delicious courses. The menu of the restaurant is very good and very internationally orientated!! You can find courses from Sweden to Marocco and from USA to Australia. If you want to eat a bit of everything, there is a Tapas menu too!

Favorite Dish: I had a Chicken saté with pandan rice. My friend had huge Carpaccio. Both dishes were excellent and the portions were very good too!!! As a desert my friend had Ben & Jerry's icecream and I had a Lemoncake with forest-fruit parfait. I have only been here once yet, but will certainly come back!!!

It is not a restaurant, but a takeaway called Panini's, they have the best sandwiches in whole Rotterdam, likely in whole Holland. Italian style, which they bake them self and fill em with whatever you want (as long it is on the menu)
They also have very good slices of pizza's, eveery time I am in Rotterdam, I have to go and get me a sandwiche, they are just too good.
MAde by real italians, so they are good (oh and the espresso is good too)

Favorite Dish: just any of the sandwiches will do, YUMMY

Traditional Indonesian kitchen (not Chinese !), and one of the best adresses in Rotterdam. Nice atmosphere, and normal prices ($60 for 2 pers.)

Favorite Dish: The wellknown 'rijsttafel', a lot of several traditional Indonesian dishes. Try also the kebab of goat, called 'sate kambing' and 'sambal goreng buncis dan telor' (eggs and haricot verts in spicy sauce).

Shopping makes thirsty, so this fresh fruit juices stand at the South Side of the Lijnbaan is very welcome.
