Pannenkoekenboot - the panckae boat: the perfect tourist trap
we made reservations - our name was not on the list and we were asked to move a side. no apologies.
when entered - they don't accept credit cards...no sign of that at the entry to the boat nor on their website - i was asked to leave a child as "ransom" till i get the cash at the end of the trip...no apologies.
during - paying 60 EUR per family + 10 EUR for drinks = waiting in a pushy line feeling like a beggar and getting crappy pancakes...thanks but no thanks.
my advice - just go to a traditional pancake restaurant and get a better experience, better food and better value. for boat trip in Rotterdam take the Sea Bus - same route more or less...

Pannenkoekenboot: Pancakes as much as you want
During the cruise on the 'Pannenkoekenboot' (Pancake Boat) you can eat as much pancakes as you want.
I never planned to go there, but went anyway cause I got some discount ;-)
I do not consider pancakes as a real food (like many locals might be doing), but a nice experience after all.
There isn't that much to see on the cruise route and the boat sails only about an hour - a little bit longer would be nice, so you could really enjoy those pancakes enough (to get worth of all the 12 euros at least) :)
Favorite Dish: There are three different pancakes and also some "side dishes", so you'll get to eat just more than a pancakes.
In addition to powder sugar, syrup and cholocolate chips, you can also have things like cheese, cold cuts and fruits.

De Pannenkoekenboot: Pancakes on the Water
At 12 Euros per person (drinks are extra), the Pannenkoekenboot isn't cheap, but you get a stellar 60 minute cruise through Rotterdam Harbor, under the Erasmus and Willems Bridges, while you help yourself to an all-you-can-eat pancake buffet. Reservations are a good idea.
There's a hold filled with colorful rubber balls for children to jump in, giving their elders time to have a leisurely meal.

Favorite Dish: On De Pannenkoekenboot, you can have either pancakes...or pancakes. :) The plate-sized pancakes are in three sets of wall slots: Spek (bacon), Appel, and Natural (plain). You take one and add your choice of toppings: hard-boiled egg, ham, peach, pineapple, raisins, chocolate sprinkles, or decorative sugars. Syrups are on the table.
De Pannenkoekenboot: De Pannenkoekenboot
Favorite Dish: I haven't been on the boat but I liked the idea (and the picture that took from the top of the Euromast!). It's a boat where you can cruise the port of Rotterdam while eating one of the Dutch traditional dishes - pancakes!
Pancake boat: Have pancakes while viewing Rotterdam's Harbour!
This is a nice experience, make a tour with he pancake boat!
The boat makes a tour through the harbour of Rotterdam, and you can eat as much pancakes as you want (One hour tour)
Favorite Dish: Pancakes with bacon
Pancake boat: Pannenkoekenboot
An hour is short but it's fun: eat Dutch pancakes and chose your own pancake fillings while you tour the Maas river for exactly an hour.
Favorite Dish: Bacon pancake with syrup.
