This former railway bridge was only completed in 1927, and is no longer in use anymore. The bridge is always in this position.
The Erasmusbrug became a landmark of the city of Rotterdam in quite a short time. The bridge is also known as 'de zwaan' (the swan) and the harp.

Mainroute to the southern part of Holland, anbd therefore very important for the Dutch infrastructure. Former place for trafficjams, and nowadays one of the largest bridges in Holland.
Or Erasmus bridge. It was completed in 1996 and is nicknamed The Swan due to it's grace and single support pylon.
Go up the Euromast (taken here in the photo through the Erasmus bridge) - you get wonderful views over the city from the top.
