Cubic Houses (Kubus woningen), Rotterdam
Good example of Rotterdam's architecture. There are flats inside the cubes and you can enter one of them for small fee.
One of the more interesting post-war buildings is this complex of 39 cubic-houses that was built in 1978-1984. Architect Blom built an earlier variant in Helmond, with slightly smaller houses.
The visit of the cubic houses is really worth! So you can see how it is to live in a house where the wall are not vertical!!!!! Very funny!
Take a look into the cubical houses! Some are open for the public. It's really strange walking inside. Everything seems upside down.
Very strange way to live in, but it is possible. See it for yourself. One of the houses is a museum as well. In the museum there is a video-presentation, expo and photo-collection.
Relax in an inspiring environment. The Cubes
People actually live in this extra-ordinary houses.
